Minister William MacGregor

I was born in Southern California in 1951. I lived there until 1969 when I went into the U S Coast Guard.
In 1974 I returned to civilian life and settled in Southern Oregon. I lived and worked in Grants Pass. I had
maintained a rather loose spirituality most of my life. I had researched a lot of different paths and had
gathered some knowledge of them. There were several starts and stops but in
2005 the Rowan Tree was finally formed and brought into reality.

In 2006 we were given the opportunity
to acquire a small business in Ashland. We couldn’t afford to do this but we tried valiantly until 2010.
Having the store gave us a place to hold classes and public ritual. But in 2010 despite our best efforts it all
came crashing down to the point that Aylah and I were homeless. Even as we were homeless we
continued to hold rituals and healings from “our bench” in Lithia Park.

In the winter of 2011 we stayed
with Gina Cole, she had been one of out students. In the spring of 2011 Aylah had returned to work and I
found us a house to rent in Medford. So in the summer of 2011 we again opened the doors of the Rowan
Tree to public rituals and classes.

In 2012, due to personal growth and evolution, Aylah and I divorced
but continued to keep the Rowan Tree going. In 2014 I was able to move into my own apartment. I had
been in a veterans shelter since 2013. Aylah had moved into a building that her boyfriend owned. We
again continued to keep the Rowan Tree going from this place.

In 2014 I retired from the Ministry. Aylah also retired this same year and we passed the Rowan Tree to Gina Cole. In the spring of 2017 it came to our attention that the Rowan Tree had been administrative dissolved. We decided that we did not, could not, let that which we had worked so hard to create be left. So here it is 2017 and I am coming out of retirement to again function as a Minister for Rowan Tree Pagan Ministries. The journey continues.
